Craftspeople’s Words
CraftsPeople’s Words focuses on what artisans know better than anyone else: describing their craft, the materials they use, their intimate relationship with their profession, and everything that can only be learned by doing. This theme invites us to explore the words of artisans in all their forms: stories of their practice, reflections on learning, visions of their profession, doubts, convictions, and embodied knowledge. The aim is to understand how those who work with materials construct their thinking, pass on their experience and give deep meaning to their professional lives.
In short: how do the voices of artisans shed light on what we do, what we pass on and what we become in the process?
